Rhea is a 5 1/2 month old doberman puppy who came in for a in kennel training program.

Before coming here her owner had worked with another trainer and did not have any real succes.

Dogs owners such as Rhea’s are a trainer’s come dream come true.  In the short time I have known her it is clear she wants very much to be able to take her dog everywhere and really have a partnership with her dog - being able to enjoy Rhea and giving Rhea an enjoyable lifestyle in the process.

Good training provides that ability to communicate and bond with the dog as well.  Have a look @ how close Rhea is to Nick and how much she enjoys her training time with him.

In the later part of the video Nick Whispers all of rhea’s commands to prove that a well trained attentive dog is always listening and does not require being yelled at or being spoken to in a firm voice.

There are a lot of things for a trainer to be proud of when showing a video like this:

  1. BulletA young puppy doing all of her obedience on and off leash

  2. BulletThe level of distractions present and the dog tunes them all out to focus on her trainer

  3. BulletThe dog’s wonderful bond with her trainer and happy attitude throughout the work

  4. BulletThe precision and focus of the dog

  5. BulletThe fact that the dog can respond to the slightest whisper

  6. BulletAll of this was done in 2 1/2 weeks!!

Don’t you wish your 5 1/2 month old puppy could work this well on and off leash around distractions?  Doesn’t everyone?
